Certified Receiver

Winkler, MB

The Certified Receiver, with the support and alignment of the Store Manager, is responsible for all processes and procedures associated with receiving merchandise and maintaining the backroom and outside compound areas. This includes Inventory Integrity, Assembly and Maintenance in their store. You are accountable for ensuring that the store consistently produces a “GREAT” Customer Experience and administer policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines and programs.

•Provide a “GREAT” customer experience by embracing and following the “GREAT” program and completing all training.
•Maintain all store standards including back room, overstock and compound according to the documented store standards book.
•Control damages from occurring, deal with damaged product, whether through discount for resale, return to warehouse or ordering parts through the Service Manager and implement proper cleanup if necessary per company policies and procedures.
•Ensure all receiving practices are followed including efficiently and accurately receiving a truck, resolving variances, maintaining accurate records of receiving functions and managing the flow of stock from the backroom to the retail floor per receiving processes.
•Manage and maintain rain check and damaged inventory area per policies.
•Ensure all equipment is maintained and inspected according to legislation and assembly of products.
•Responsible for the maintenance on dock, overhead doors, compound fence and covered compound and communicate issues to manager.
•Ensure accurate inventory control through receiving, write offs, store use, damage and renumbering of products, expired product and random audits on inventory and hole count by following processes and meeting deadlines.
•Oversee yearly inventory and make necessary adjustments when cycle counts are completed on that day
•Responsible for ensuring the inventory of the store through audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
•Implement and maintain cycle counts on a daily basis and make adjustments accordingly as approved by Store Manager and conduct monthly audit using the audit checklist.
•When you are the manager on duty, perform store walk (inspection) to ensure the store is ready for business per the store standards and policies that are in place.
•Understand and comply with all HR and health and safety policies and procedures that are available on the Intranet and Internet.
•Maintain a safe and healthy workplace at all times by following TSC’s health and safety program and completing all training.
•When you are the manager on duty, protect company assets and ensure security of the premises by following the loss prevention programs, utilizing all tools/equipment provided, and respond to alarm calls.
•Coach, mentor, train, delegate and succession plan clerks through orientation sessions, feedback and communication.
•Promote TSC within the community by participating in local events and support local charities.
•Other duties as assigned.

•Management retail experience
•High School Diploma or Post-secondary education in Business would be an asset
•GREAT customer service skills
•Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, training, recruiting and communication
•Must be detail oriented and have strong attention to detail abilities
•Strong computer skills (POS, MS Office, Outlook)
