Job Summary

Inventory Analyst

London, ON

The Inventory Analyst develops with the Category Manager strategies to maximize the category performance and provides analysis for TSC’s supply chain for their categories. They manage activities between vendors, distribution, and stores in order to reduce costs, improve product flow and increase ROI. This role is also responsible for demand forecasting and replenishment planning activities for their categories.

•Responsible for improving and maintaining in-stock levels at the Distribution Centre and Retail Stores.
•Run replenishment as per schedule
•Make recommendations and present solutions to minimize total inventory while maintaining optimal customer service levels – analyze merchandise volume requirements based on sales volume, seasonal patterns, demographics and competitive factors.
•Manage and recommend improvements for inventory in the distribution center and stores
•Provide input to Category Manager on forecasts.
•Develop, monitor and recommend changes to model stock levels to deliver maximum in-stock position for stores.
•Provide PO updates
•Manage ordering system to playbook
•Execute Category Manager’s season inventory direction
•Collaborate with vendors on forecasting replenishment issues and metrics to continue to improve our stores’ in stock position.
•Set, monitor and action vendor and store service levels, forecasting accuracy and inventory turns with the category manager for their categories.
•Manage seasonality demands and vendor stock fluctuations to ensure max ROI and turns within their categories.
•Work with Category Management teams to execute overall order facilitation, season inventory direction, order management and supply chain management for their categories.
•Manage and execute manual orders and advertising sku replenishment – allocate merchandise based on knowledge of stores’ needs.
•Manage inventory flow in conjunction with Distribution – taking into consideration direct ship/cross dock and warehouse slotting
•Maintain positive relationship with vendors to ensure vendor compliance and expedition or product.
•Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

•Degree/diploma in Business
•Prioritization, time management and multi tasking are essential to meet deadlines
•Able to gather information and translate information in business insights that can be easily understood and utilized
•Retail experience considered an asset
•Self starter, efficient and organized in a fast paced environment
•Strong analytical abilities
•Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with business partners and all levels of team members
•Detailed oriented with the ability to “think outside the box”
•Proficient computer skills
